NOE VALLEY GARDEN TOUR
Saturday, May 18th
In its 18th year, this annual, community building event showcases gardens throughout the neighborhood and raises funds for Noe Valley beautification projects. The Tour will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 10am to 4pm.
In past years, profits from the tour have been donated to purchase planters in the Noe Valley Town Square, benches along 24th and Church Streets, planters and plants for Slow Sanchez, school yard gardens at James Lick Middle School and Dolores Huerta School, the On Lok 30th Street Senior Center, Upper Noe Recreation Center, the Noe Valley/Sally Brunn Library and street trees around the neighborhood.
The Friends of Noe Valley is actively seeking neighborhood gardens for this year’s Tour. Any kind of garden is acceptable! Gardens can be homeowner or professionally maintained.
Friends of Noe Valley is looking specifically for Sanchez Street gardeners who want to show off their gardening skills by opening their garden to visitors. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Linda Lockyer at
The Friends of Slow Sanchez are also holding a plant swap on May 18th near Cafe Noe - come meet fellow gardeners and swap cuttings and advice!"
There is also a need for Garden Greeters. Garden Greeters are stationed for a two hour shift at one of the gardens and will be given a FREE ticket.
