While we were able to get Slow Sanchez permanently approved, it was approved along with all the other slow streets under the Covid Emergency Declaration. That declaration is expiring and the SFMTA Board will be voting about whether to approve all Slow Streets including Sanchez outside te Covid Emergency Declaration.
We need your help in two ways to help make sure that our Slow Street is re-approved.
1. We are joining the letter writing campaign with KidSafeSF to show the SFMTA Board, Mayor and Board of Supervisors that there is massive support for Slow Streets and we need all of them approved and strengthened.
Send your letter of support (it takes just 2 minutes) and add your own story of how Slow Sanchez matters to you at https://actionnetwork.org/letters/support-the-permanent-slow-streets-program/
2. Make public comment in support of our slow street at the 12/6 meeting.
Date: December 6, 2022
Time: ~3:00 PM (The meeting starts at 1pm, but SFMTA has advised us to plan to make comment starting at 3pm.)
Location: City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA, Room 400, Floor 4

The opponents of Car Free JFK have now turned their attention to stopping slow streets. We need to make sure our slow streets are made permanent once again. Thank you for your support.
